Representative, independent and committed to defending the statutory rights and working conditions of European Parliament staff.
SFP-Europa is an independent trade union representing the staff of the European Parliament, officially recognised within the Institution.
Founded to defend statutory rights, it takes part in every institutional body: it is a member of COMI and actively participates in the activities of the SPC. Our representative team listens to colleagues, advises them and defends their interests.
SFP-Europa appears as a “new” trade union in the form of an asbl (2020), in order to comply with the provisions of the 1990 Framework Agreement. But its team has a long history within SFIE and extensive experience in staff representation, both on the Staff and Personnel Committee (SPC) and on the Inter-Union Committee (COMI), which brings together the trade union and professional organisations (OSP) recognised by the Institution, in accordance with the Framework Agreement of 18 July 2024 implementing Article 24 ter of the Staff Regulations.
The Articles of Association of SFP-Europa asbl were published in the Belgian Official Gazette on 22 February 2020.
