Practical arrangements concerning AST colleagues in the EPLOs
At the meeting of 21 May 2019, the Secretary General of the European Parliament, Mr Klaus WELLE and the President of the Staff Committee, Mr Dieter WILS, together with the Political Secretary of the Staff Committee Mr Luc JANSSENS, have examined the application of mobility rules to AST colleagues in EP Liaison offices Several specific cases were discussed .
After consultation of the President of the Staff Committee and with his agreement, the following exhaustive list of derogations to the mobility of AST colleagues based in EP Liaison offices on 1 February 2018 has been accepted.
1. Colleagues who are 59 years old by 31/12/2018 at the latest will not be subject to mobility .
2. In case of a serious medical condition of the mobile colleague (or his/her dependent child, spouse or legally depending ascendant who lives in the working place of the mobile colleague concerned). which would provide an unsurmountable hardship attested by the Medical Service, the concerned colleague will be granted a derogation from mobility. His or her situation will be reassessed annually.
3. Colleagues introducing in Streamline a retirement request with effect from 31/12/2020 at the latest will be exempted from mobility
4. Divorced/separated parents with legally binding shared custody of a minor child will benefit from a derogation of mobility until the day of the child's majority.
